towards a regional world order...

There is much debate about the changing international order, particularly the transition to multipolarity, but few have taken the next step of discussing what version of international order would be most desirable; ideally, one that's democratic, peaceful and cooperative. The Philadelphia Project was launched to tackle this question, focusing on a key mechanism for governance that the framers of the US Constitution developed in the City of Brotherly Love itself: Federalism! Our website amalgamates news and analysis about the emerging regionalization of the international order and provides policy recommendations that both draw from the American federal tradition as well as contributions from scholars in every corner of the world. In doing so, we recenter Philadelphia as an international city and a global forum for democracy.
